« on: November 24, 2006, 01:03:00 PM »

Hello all, Chad here, inviting everyone out Saturday at 4 PM for some great boardgame fun.  We generally have 4-6 people and a variety of games, sure to be featured this week is Fantasy Flight's Arkham Horror, and it's new expansion The Dunwich Horror.  If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail
Hope to see you there,

Arkham Horror

Greetings Chad,

I am Randall, former leader of the A+ Magic scene.  I once played Arkham Horror with you guys; I think it was around September.  I really enjoyed it and appreciate being able to sit down and learn to play.  If it helps to remember who I was, I was the archaeologist when we played and commented that I was studying archaeology at UK.

Anyhow, I have since returned home to Florence, but I hope to visit A+ again someday.  I absolutely loved Arkham Horror.  Thanks for sharing it with me.

Take care.

Randall

Hey Randall,
Sorry for the delayed response.  We're glad you came out to join us, and we still have a regular board game night on most Saturdays at A+ (except the first weekend of the month), so be sure to drop back in when you get the chance.
This week would be a great time as there's a new Arkahm Horror expansion, The King In Yellow that should be out by the time we meet, and we home to get a round of that going.  We've all been looking forward to it for several months now.
And remember, if you don't like the game we're playing, you're always welcome to bring games of your own to share with everyone.

Hey,

Don't worry about it.  Thanks for the response.
I would love to come back and play again.  I don't know when that would be.  I'll certainly remember anytime I get the chance.  Also, I was pleased to see the Comic Book World here in Florence has Arkham Horror.  I would like to pick up a copy, but my close friends all attend Louisville.  Not sure who I'd play with here.  Undecided

Well, take it easy.  Make the A+ Board Games Club the best in town.

seeing as the last post was in 2007 not sure I'm going to get a reply. But just thought I'd let you know that I'm very interested in joining this group. I've recently stumbled upon the board game scene and immedietely stocked myself up with some of the more popular board games.
Settlers of Catan
Pandemic
Cosmic Encounter
Carcassone
Cutthroat Caverns
Duel of Ages

And I really look forward to getting a chance to play some new games (if you all are still meeting each Saturday). And I really hope you all still play Arkham Horror. I've been dieing to learn how to play that, sounds awesome.

They still meet every Saturday, around 4 pm.  All you have to do is show up.  So come on by!
